Safintra Proudly Sponsors QACCS National Golf Tournament

The QACCS Nationals is an annual golf tournament designed to promote business networking and relationships in the construction industry. The QACCS Golf Club (Quantity Surveyors, Architects, Consultants, Contractors & Suppliers) was established in Durban in 1976. Prior to its establishment, a few golfers used to play a monthly game which was open to anyone in the construction industry. During the ensuing decades the club grew as members relocated to other regions and today QACCS has active clubs registered in Bloemfontein, Durban, East London, Gauteng, George, Kimberley, Port Elizabeth and Welkom.

From 1996 onwards, the QACCS Golf Club has held an annual national tournament, with this year’s event being staged in the friendly city of Port Elizabeth from 22 to 24 September at the Humewood and Wedgewood golf clubs. Humewood is widely considered a genuine seaside links, with wide and undulating fairways, fast greens and thick coastal bush, and is consistently ranked as one of South Africa’s top golf courses.

Safintra was the main sponsor for this year’s competition, and is proud to have supported The QACCS Nationals since 2018 (last year’s tournament was cancelled due to Covid-19) – thereby promoting golf as an effective platform to strengthen industry relationships and provide networking opportunities. We are also committed to sponsor next year’s event which will be held in East London in May.

Amidst all the uncertainties brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic, the QACCS organisation’s PE team showed outstanding resilience, hosting this year’s Nationals with great flair. It’s been an absolute honour to support a group of people who are so diligent, determined and committed to ensuring that QACCS remains the amazing platform for business networking which it has grown to be over so many decades. As a leader in the construction sector, Safintra is proud to support industry platforms such as QACCS where passion and greatness meet.

We look forward to our future collaboration with the QACCS and to supporting the continued growth of the organisation, and we salute the Club for the outstanding work they do through a number of CSI initiatives both internally and externally.
